Amigos Bowling Centre, a new luxury bowling centre in the Arboleas Poligono Industrial opened it's doors yesterday in a lavish opening party.
Operated by Amigos Bowling Centre SL, formed by Mr Vince Bourke and Mr Paul Bourke, the new bowling centre offers residents in the Almanzora valley access to this very popular pasttime.
The centre makes use of the latest bowling technology to offer fully automated 12 lane Ten Pin Bowling in the Arboleas area. The Centre also offers customers a café/bar facility plus internet café, American pool tables and other gaming and vending activities.
The opening ceremony was to be presided over by Mayor of Arboleas, who was due to cut the ribbon at 8pm, but due to a last minute family medical emergency Mayor Garcia was unable to attend. The centre was duly opened by Mr. Emilio Ros-Peréz of Switch Bowling SRL, the Italian company from Modena, Italy that supplied and installed the equipment.
A proud day
The project was announced in March 2007 and the then Mayor of Arboleas, Mayor Perez Miras presided over the ground breaking ceremony.
Vince Bourke said that it had been a dream '4 years in the making' and at last, with the determination of Paul Bourke the General Manager and with the help of his wife it has at last happened.
The opening party was very well attended with around 100 people all trying out the facilities and a good time was had by all.
He also said that they would be offering Cosmic Bowling (night time Illuminated bowling) at weekends.
A new league will be formed out of a team playing from the Amigos Bowling Centre and applicants are encouraged to come along to the centre to apply.
The new centre has a staff of 15 people and plans to open daily, from 12 midday until 12 midnight on weekdays and 12 midday to 1am Fri-Sun. Costs are extremely competitive, starting from only €3,50 p.p. per game on weekdays. Currently over 55's receive a 10% discount Mon - Thurs. Parties and group activities can be arranged.
A fully equipped bar and cafeteria can offer a wide range of drinks, snacks and meals all day. Other facilities onsite include billiards, an internet cafe, basketball machines and other gaming equipment.
